Apple ditches Google Latitude, gets Placebase maps. Somehow us iPhone users aren't smart enough to tell the difference between Google Maps and Google Latitude.Or maybe, Apple just had something else up their sleeve. Such as purchasing a mapping company in order to offer their own map software for use on the iPhone.

I constantly see developers posting on the misc forums about "Should I call Apple?" "Should I email Apple?" "What should I do?". There seems to be this inevitable fear something is "Wrong". I fall into this same trap as well.

Scenario: "What if they didn't receive my documentation", "If they didn't receive my documentation then they can't process my documentation", "if they can't process my documentation, then I can't get approved", "If I can't get approved, then I will have to wait EVEN LONGER to get approved", "If I have to wait even longer to get approved as a developer, I have to wait even longer to get my app approved"

It seems like the never ending spiral of fear that we all fall in to. I know the reviews of iFart, iShoot, Pocket God, Flight Control, etc... make us very anxious to get into the app store and get our hands on some of the gold just sitting there waiting for the taking.

It's so over-whelming that developers are skimping on their app's quality to get it into the app store early. With fear that they are going to miss out on the gold that lies there under the rainbow, they cut features and try to speed up the production process.

It is quite a sad affair.
